How to print and use it

  1. Print on US Letter paper, landscape. Laminating it makes it last.
  2. Add a picture symbol above each word if your learner uses them. Hand-drawn works too.
  3. Keep the words in the same place every time so they become automatic to find.
  4. Point to the words yourself as you talk, so your learner sees how to use them.

Ideas for using it

  • Keep a copy at the table, one in the bag and one in the car.
  • Point to want, more, stop and help whenever they come up naturally.
  • Colors group the words by type, such as actions and describing words.
  • Use alongside speech and any device your learner already has.
